Govs Family Network
Our school thrives when parents and guardians are active partners in Academy life. The Govs Family Network provides families with a way to connect with one another, stay involved in school life, and enrich the student experience.
As a Govs parent or guardian, you are already part of The Govs Family Network and will receive notifications about events, meetings, and activities. The Network will convene once per semester (September and January) via Zoom.

ADMISSION COMMITTEE
As a member of the Admission Committee, you will serve as an ambassador for Govs during the admission season and help us welcome the exceptional students who will shape the future of our community.
Cobb Room Volunteers
Volunteers provide a warm welcome and valuable information to families in our Admission Office during the busy admission season, when hundreds of prospective students and their families visit Govs for interviews and tours. Shifts run Monday through Friday, September through January.
Open House Volunteers/Accepted Students Day
In October, Govs welcomes prospective students and their families to campus for a day of programming. In April, accepted students return to campus to gather information to help them make their final enrollment decision. Parent volunteers help out on both occasions.
Connecting with New Families
Current parents and guardians have invaluable insight and experience to offer families who are new to Govs.
THE GOVERNOR'S FUND COMMITTEE
The Governors Fund is the Academy's annual fund, and it touches every corner of campus. As a member of this committee, you'll connect with fellow parents to share your enthusiasm and inspire them to invest in everything that makes Govs exceptional. The work of this committee centers on personal outreach — phone calls and other direct communication — during three key giving periods:
October 2026: Fall Appeal
February 2027: Govs Giving Day
June 15-30, 2027: End-of-year appeal

Some of the most meaningful connections happen outside the classroom. The Events Committee brings the Govs parent community together through a range of gatherings, celebrations, and programs throughout the year. Volunteer opportunities include:
