Alfond Coastal Research Center
Transform your local community into a catalyst for student inquiry. Join us this August at The Governor's Academy Alfond Coastal Research Center on the pristine banks of the Great Marsh for a three-day workshop focused on Place-Based and Experiential Learning.
Led by active classroom teachers from both the Humanities and the Sciences, this workshop is designed for educators of all disciplines and experience levels. Whether you are a veteran teacher looking to evolve a long-standing project or a new educator seeking foundational tools, you will walk away with actionable strategies for the first day of classes and a new professional skillset.
Registration deadline: Monday, June 15
Workshop dates: Tuesday, Aug 18 - Thursday, August 20
Registration: $100 (Includes daily lunch and snacks)
