Yoga is available as an afternoon activity during winter and spring seasons.
Winter Season Vinyasa Program
The Vinyasa yoga system consists of a continuous flow through asana (yoga postures) synchronized with the breath. This is a powerful discipline for cultivating physical, mental, and spiritual health. Students are instructed in proper alignment in the postures and coordinating the breath with movement. Variations of postures are offered for students of all levels of ability. Progressive techniques of breath, posture and movement, cleanse, stretch and strengthen the body as well as focus and calm the mind.
Spring Season Kundalini Program
Kundalini yoga incorporates postures, dynamic breathing techniques, and chanting and meditating on mantras. Practitioners concentrate on awakening the kundalini, or life force, at the base of the spine and drawing it upward through each of the seven chakras, bringing health to body, mind, and spirit. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul and teaches positive, self-empowering attitudes of thinking.
