Dean of Multicultural Education
Jadi is the Dean of Multicultural Education and a member of the Academy's leadership team. He earned his B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in global studies from Siena College. After several years leading international development initiatives in Latin America and East Asia, he earned his Master’s Degree in Intercultural Leadership, Communication, and Management from SIT Graduate Institute. After graduate school, he found that he wanted to return to independent schools where tight knit communities and student centered education create an ideal platform for impactful and paradigm shifting learning communities. He worked in several administrative roles at The Putney School, a progressive 9-12 school in Putney, Vermont.
As the Dean of Multicultural Education, he works collaboratively to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that embrace and sustain an inclusive, equitable, and conscientious school community. He is a skilled facilitator in the areas of inclusivity and equity. In his role, he works to create educational programs and events that help all members of the community to develop the cultural competencies and skills that are the hallmark of excellent teaching and learning environments.
Jadi is a first-generation American, person of color, and an independent school graduate. He has a unique capacity to empathize with those who have to navigate diverse cultural channels while grounding themselves in their own identity. His experience at independent schools as a student, educator, and administrator leads him to believe that independent schools provide the ideal environment for designing, implementing, and executing programs that foster critical thinking and socially conscientious behaviour for young adults. In addition to his office, you will find Jadi on the basketball court, walking the halls of Phillips, and in his English classroom.
