The Governor’s Academy is excited to feature our newest art exhibit, Home-Landing, featuring works by aspiring international student artists from diverse backgrounds. Home-Landing serves as a tribute to the global mosaic of our student body, with participants hailing from homelands across vast distances who belong to The International Student Alliance (ISA) which supports international students at Govs.
The annual art show is an ISA tradition that spotlights the accomplishments of our talented student artists. This year’s theme embodies the heartfelt connections that bind the students to their roots. The exhibition features artists creating in diverse art forms such as painting, ceramics, poetry, and calligraphy.
All are welcome to experience Home-Landing in the gallery in the Remis Lobby of the Wilkie Center for the Performing Arts on The Governor’s Academy campus from Friday, October 20 through Saturday, November 11. Please take some time to experience this cultural journey and join us for a reception on Friday, October 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The gallery is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays by appointment (Please contact Shanna Fliegel at sfliegel@govsacademy.org).
