Field Hockey won the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) Class B championship on Sunday afternoon. They defeated Middlesex School 1-0 at Loomis Chaffee (CT) on an unseasonably cold and windy day. The only goal of the game came from Liv Hammer '23 in the third quarter with an assist from Riley Thurston '24 and Eve Bennett '26.
Governor's was the top-seeded team in Class B and defeated Suffield Academy (CT) in the quarterfinals (4-1) on Wednesday afternoon and Brooks School in the semifinals on Saturday (2-1). Both of those games were played on the Class of 1967 Turf Field in Byfield. The team is anchored by a senior class of 9: Kate Burgess, MingGe Daly, Hanna Freund, Sadie Gearan, Liv Hammer, Kate MacKeen, Katie Prinn, Erin Ohlenbusch (Captain), and Tatum Stickney (Captain).
