The Impact of Your Gift to The Governor's Fund
Gifts from all members of the Govs community, including faculty, staff, parents and friends, help ensure our programming, physical spaces, and people are well supported.
Meet Jeff Wotton P'14,'17
For 25 consecutive years, Wotty has been a loyal donor to The Governor’s Fund.
Wotty and his wife Cheryl felt strongly that once their children, Nicole ’14 and Jackson ’17, became students at Govs, it was their duty to give back as a way to share appreciation for the education their children received. He shares, “The Annual Fund is the energy of the school. When I see the names of donors in the Annual Report or on Govs Giving Day, it makes me feel proud to be part of this community. Everyone should give!”
Gifts to The Governor’s Fund make a big impact on the student experience, including athletics programming.
From purchasing new team jerseys, providing transportation to away games, and ongoing maintenance of fields, courts, and facilities—The Governor’s Fund is always in action, responding to the most pressing needs of the community. At its core are those “triple threat” long-standing faculty dedicated to instilling kindness, hard work, empathy, and collaboration throughout the curriculum and extracurricular programming. “Giving to The Governor’s Fund is a way of saying thank you,” says Wotty.
As you consider a way to share your gratitude during this season of thanks, please keep The Governor’s Fund in mind. Your gift, at any level, will support the area of greatest need—from student initiatives and academic programs, financial aid, campus maintenance, and faculty professional development.
