The mission of Preble Street is to provide accessible barrier-free services to empower people experiencing problems with homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty, and to advocate for solutions to these problems.
They recently opened a Food Security Hub in South Portland that prepares and distributes prepared food to people across Maine who are food insecure and struggling to get nutritious meals on their table. Volunteer work will include food prep and meal "packaging".
