The varsity boys tennis team has been improving steadily over the last several years. This year, the team will return all but one player and will be bolstered by the arrival of a few new players. Led by senior captain Noah Bird, the team always prioritizes sportsmanship and fair play. In addition to having eight outdoor courts, the school also has three indoor courts that can be used throughout the winter. Students are required to participate in an organized afternoon program in every season, but there is plenty of opportunity to practice indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
Head Coach -- Jake Falconer took over the varsity program in 2016 after coaching junior varsity for a number of seasons. He brings a passion for the game and sound tennis experience to the program. Jake was a ranked junior player in Rhode Island and has continued to play as an adult. His love for the game both as a coach and a player has only grown through the years.
Assistant Coach Perry Nelson enjoyed growing up playing tennis with his whole family and this tradition continues today. Perry was the captain of the varsity tennis team in high school at Lincoln-Sudbury and played varsity tennis at Williams College. He was also the New England champion in father/son tennis, the number one ranked team in New England, and played in many national events.
