Governor's Teams
Athletics at The Governor’s Academy is about outstanding performance- as our championship titles, college NCAA scholarship players, and world competitors will attest- but it is also about character.

Track & Field, Indoor - Boys Varsity
Program Overview
The indoor track team heads into its twelfth season in 2019-20. As we do with all of our running programs at Governor’s, the boys and girls teams practice together each day. Our philosophy about indoor track is that it should provide a fitness base for students getting ready for their chosen spring sports and teach them about the sport of track and field.
As the ISL does not sponsor a winter track and field schedule, we pick up meets with those other area schools that offer indoor track and field. During the 2018-19 season, we hosted a home meet in The Pescosolido Field House at The Governor’s Academy. We also traveled to Phillips Andover Academy and Phillips Exeter Academy where we competed against the host school and several other independent schools from around New England. In addition, several individuals traveled to Dartmouth College to compete in the Dartmouth Relays and to Harvard University to compete in the USA Track and Field Open New England Championships. In both of these venues, our athletes competed successfully against high school and college students from around New England. At the end of the season, three of our athletes competed at The Armory in New York City in the Eastern States Invitational.
