Classes of 2008 - 2023: Join fellow young alums from Govs for a happy hour event at Hudson Hound. Chat, relax, network, and make new friends over apps and drinks — we can’t wait to be back in NYC with you! Feel free to bring a friend. Guests must be 21+ to attend.

ALUMNI KIDS SCIENCE DAY

Wednesday, April 22
2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Alfond Coastal Research Center

Alumni Families: Please join environmental science teacher Lisa Borgatti and her students at the Alfond Coastal Research Center for a fun-filled afternoon of science activities. Kids will engage in hands-on learning and caring for our resident animals at the center. Kids can also pot up seeds to bring home to plant in their own gardens.

We kindly ask parents to remain in the building during the event; snacks and drinks will be provided. Limited parking is available at the Alfond Center, or you can park in the Whiston•Bragdon Arena parking lot and walk the beautiful woodland trails leading to the Alfond Center.

The Food Project’s mission is to create a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system.

Volunteers will be led by The Food Project's youth leaders on their Boston urban farms to help grow fresh vegetables for the community. Space is limited.

The Bowery Mission

The Bowery Mission has served neighbors experiencing homelessness and hunger since the 1870s. Volunteers will help sort donated clothing. Space is limited.

SOUTH PORTLAND
Preble Street Food Pantry
75 Darling Avenue
South Portland, Maine
11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The mission of Preble Street is to provide accessible, barrier-free services to empower people experiencing homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty, and to advocate for solutions to these problems. They recently opened a food security hub in South Portland that prepares and distributes food to people across Maine who are food-insecure and struggling to get nutritious meals on their tables. Volunteer work will include food prep and meal packaging. Space is limited.
