Every month, this inaugural series showcases Govs alumni who have achieved success by following their passions—from the sciences to the entertainment industry to effective communication and much more. We hope you will join us to expand your horizons and perhaps spark a new passion of your own!

michael meagher '98: A Master sommelier's guide to Enjoying wine

Join us for this unique experience with sommelier Michael Meagher '98 as he takes us on a journey through restaurants and how to taste wine like a pro. Wines must be purchased by January 30 to ensure delivery by February 13.

GIRLS IN SPORTS DAY AT GOVS

We are sorry, but this event is full, but we hope to see you on campus for future events!

In honor of National Women and Girls in Sports Day, we invite girls in grades 1 through 6 to join Governor's athletes in a station-style sports extravaganza focused on inspiring the next generation of female athletes to build new skills, develop confidence, and have fun! Featured sports include basketball, field hockey, ice hockey, soccer, softball, track, and volleyball. No prior athletic experience is required.

Dress Rehearsal for Little Women

Wilkie Center for the Performing Arts

Join us for a full dress rehearsal of our Winter Musical, Little Women, and meet some of the actors prior to the performance! Louisa May Alcott’s beloved story of the adventures of the four March sisters is brought to vivid musical life in Little Women. With buoyant, joyful melodies, memorable characters, and a big-hearted message, Little Women reminds us that “sometimes when you dream, your dreams come true.”

The play runs for about two hours, and we'd be pleased to have you join us for any or all of this production.

Alumni Kid Skate

Govs Alumni: Looking for a fun activity with the kids during school vacation week? Join us at the Whiston-Bragdon Arena rink for an open skate with Govs hockey players! Adults are welcome to join us on the ice, but it's not necessary; we have student volunteers eager to help. However, adults need to stay in the building, and helmets are required. Snacks will be provided.

Winter musical: little women

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14 & SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15

BERGMANN THEATER, WILKIE CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS 

Join us for a magical evening in the Bergmann Theater for our Winter Musical, Little Women, Louisa May Alcott’s beloved story of the adventures of the four March sisters brought to vivid musical life. Set in 19th-century Massachusetts, this timeless story of family, love, and empowerment features breathtaking performances, captivating songs, and meticulously crafted sets showcasing the talents of our cast, pit band, and tech crew. Don’t miss this fantastic production directed by directed by Jack Norton ’17 under the musical supervision of Isaac Kramer, which blends humor, drama, and a touch of magic to create an unforgettable theatrical experience.  

This production is free of charge and open to the public. We enthusiastically invite all to join us in Byfield!

pink in the rink

Mark your calendars for the day we turn the rink into a sea of pink to support the Jimmy Fund and cancer research. Join our boys and girls hockey teams and the entire Govs community to rally for a meaningful cause with fun activities, inspiring moments, and plenty of ways to participate. It’s not just a hockey game—it’s a celebration of the entire Govs community coming together for a cause that’s bigger than any game! Let’s make it a day to remember. winter dance concert: Elemental

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21 & SATURDAY, February 22
7:30 P.M.
BERGMANN THEATER, WILKIE CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS 

Join us for an enchanting evening of dances relating to the basic building blocks that make up our world. There will be six dance pieces choreographed by faculty and students, as well as a few guest performances by musicians! This production is free of charge and open to the public. We enthusiastically invite all to join us in Byfield!
