The Governor's Academy: A New England Boarding & Day School for Grade 9-12
Bright, bold, and ambitious students have been learning and growing at The Governor’s Academy for over 250 years. Located in Byfield, Massachusetts, on Boston's north shore, our expansive campus is bordered by the Parker River and the Great Marsh. Students learn and grow in our classrooms, studios, theaters, fields, and courts. Surrounded by friends and teachers, our students discover and develop their passions across academics, arts, and athletics, and go further than they ever thought possible.
Students spend so much time on campus that you won’t feel a distinction between boarding or day. You will always find friends studying in the library or shooting hoops in the field house, and no one wants to miss the concerts, games, and special events that spill out of school days and into evenings and weekends. Whether we meet for dinner in the dining hall, grab burgers before a movie in Newburyport, or head into Boston’s vibrant Chinatown for dim sum, we go together.
