COVID-19 Information

Since the pandemic began in March 2020, Governor’s has operated under two primary values: protecting the health of all members of our community and providing our students with the finest possible educational experience. This year, we plan to have as normal a school year as possible including in-person classes and afternoon programs, dorms at full capacity, and community-building activities throughout the week.

CAMPUS COMMUNITY

Governor's requires all students and employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. At this point, the CDC defines fully vaccinated as having completed a vaccine sequence (one or two shots, depending on the vaccine). Consistent with CDC guidance at this time, we strongly recommend that everyone stay up to date on their COVID-19 vaccines, including all recommended boosters when eligible.

We will open the school year as a mask-optional school. We will always respect the choice that individuals make to wear masks, and we will have explicit expectations for those who test positive throughout the year.  We plan to only conduct symptomatic testing throughout the school year. If we see a significant spread or a severe variant that compromises our ability to operate our academic, afternoon, and residential programs, we may resume community-wide testing.
