The Governors played a strong match today against Rivers School. After dropping her first set 4-6, number one singles Rachel Cabitt ‘12 played tenaciously in the second to win it 6-3. Number two singles Katharine Gaillard ‘15 had the most successful match of the day as she triumphed 6-4, 6-3. Playing three singles, Julia Mini ‘15 played one of her best matches of the year and lost a close one 3-6, 4-6. Saule Bussing ‘15, at four singles, won 6-4 in the first set but then fell 2-6 in the second. The number one doubles team of Tianyi Huang ‘14 and Minnie Suriyaprapadilok ‘13 lost 2-6 and 3-6, while the number two team of MJ Zhou ‘14 and Mary Suriyaprapadilok ‘15 split sets 6-4 and 4-6. Raising their level of play with each match, the Governors look forward to facing Pingree on Saturday, April 28.
