Event Recap: The Govs put together a solid game against non-league local rival Pingree. The play went back and forth for the first part of the game with the two teams trading goals but shortly into the first half, the Govs were able to open up the scoring. The Govs had to adjust their play a little to be able to get the ball past the stellar tending of Pingree’s, Maura Grady. Strong defense from the Govs stifled Pingree’s offense allowing only two goals in each of the halves. Alonardo had a solid game with 6 saves on the day. Goals for the Govs came from both O’Connors, Bidstrup, DiCroce, Sullivan, and defender Kammerer with multiple assists coming from Dorsey, C. Clavin, Kammerer, M. O’Connor, McMahon, and Sullivan. |
