Byfield, MA – The second game of the weekend and final Keller division matchup of the year between Milton and Governor’s would be played with even more intensity than Friday night’s contest. Senior Bryan Sullivan would excite the home crowd just 26 seconds into the game. Milton would weather Govs consistent pressure and the first period ended with Governor’s leading 1-0. In the second period the two teams would exchange goals. Governor’s goal was scored on an outstanding individual effort by Junior Ryan Scarfo. In the second, Governor’s would find itself on the penalty kill for the majority of the period. Struggling on the penalty kill on Friday night, Governor’s made adjustments and did and outstanding job killing penalties, including a 5 minute major. In the third period Milton showed its championship form from a year ago, scoring two goals in the third for the win. It was a tough weekend for Governor’s dropping two games to their ISL Keller division rivals. As the season sits right now the team’s record is 2-3 entering exam week. The Academy will have the week off to take exams and then play four games in three days at home as they host The Hill School, Proctor Academy, The Millbrook School, and Hebron Academy starting on Friday night.
