Event Recap:
The Governors played their fourth game in a row on the road and they beat St. Georges 4 – 1 and improved their record to 8 – 4 – 4 on the season and 3 – 2 – 1 in the ISL.  The Alonardo sisters had a pair of goals to lead the Govs as they scored one in the first and third periods and two in the middle stanza to secure their eighth victory of the season with seven games left to play.  Sara (2G, 1A); Michelle (2G) and Siobhan McDonough (3A) would have a great game as their line dominated play in all three zones.  Kelsey Duryea had an assist on the first goal of the game as she and McDonough combined to get the puck to the front of the net where Sara banged a rebound home.   The Govs scored two goals four minutes apart, one short handed to take a 3 – 0 lead into the locker room after two periods.  Michele would score the last two goals of the game, the last one with just 1:27 left to play to secure the victory.  Maggie Salmon was again strong in the Governors net as she improved to 7 – 4 – 3 on the season and has given up a stingy 23 goals in 14 games.
