In the midst of a three game road trip, the Governors traveled to BBN to take on the Black Knights of the Charles. They gave up a power play goal late in the first period and went into the third looking to tie things up after a scoreless second period. A flawless breakout started by Kiley Coffey would lead to the equalizer with 12:08 left to play in the game. Coffey made a pass to Sara Alonardo who made a cross-ice pass to her sister Michelle who broke around the BBN defense and beat their goalie high over the glove side. Both teams had chances as the third period unfolded but neither team could finish and the game went into overtime. At the conclusion of their first shift, the Govs Michelle Alonardo would send the puck to the front of the net and it somehow found its way to the back of the net for the 2 – 1 win. This would be the sixth overtime game of the season for the Govs and they are now 2 – 0 – 4 on the season in OT.
