The Governors traveled to Milton and earned a 4 – 1 victory to extend their record to 6 – 2 – 2 on the season. Maggie Salmon was again solid in the Governors goal and the trio of Kelsey Duryea, Natalie Sullivan and Kiley Coffey played great defense in front of her as they limited Milton’s second chance opportunities and kept most shots on the outside. Junior Siobhan McDonough would have three goals and one assist in the game as her line racked up eight points on the afternoon. Michelle Alonardo would have a goal and 2 assists and Cassie Hanlon would have an assist as she played for the injured Sara Alonardo at left wing. The teams played to a scoreless tie after one period and the Govs came out flying in the second. Siobhan bagged her first of the afternoon with 2:55 gone in the period and Michelle made it 2 – 0 some six minutes later. The Govs took a two goal lead into the locker room and added another with 8:20 left to play in the game. Kelsey Duryea would be credited for an assist of McDonough’s second goal of the game. Milton scored their lone goal of the afternoon with 5:58 left to play and Siobhan broke their back with an empty net goal with just 54 seconds left to play.
