Why Give?

More than 1,600 alumni, parents and friends made gifts to The Governor's Academy last year. Many donors give as a means of giving back to a place that has given them so much. Others wish to honor a beloved faculty member, celebrate a milestone, or invest in the Academy's promising future.

Whatever the reason, every gift makes a difference. Your philanthropy supports student financial aid, faculty compensation, the arts, athletics, community service and student leadership development. Increasingly, these gifts provides the critical funds necessary to attract bright, talented and ambitious boys and girls, who will thrive here and become the citizen leaders of their generations. They, like all who came before them, are worthy of our investment.

Your investments allow us to create distinctive programs, like the Catalyst Summer Science Internships and the international exchanges; expand our physical plant; and make significant improvements in SSAT scores, numbers of admissions applicants, incoming GPAs, SAT scores and AP Placement exams – numbers that indicate that we are a stronger school than we were a decade ago.
