Technology

The Governor's Academy provides students with extensive technological resources, including computer-equipped classrooms with ceiling-mounted projectors, live course web pages based on the Moodle platform, enterprise-class e-mail accessible both locally and remotely, and campus-wide Internet access. The Academy has an outstanding network infrastructure, consisting of a gigabit fiberoptic backbone and 100 Mbps of Internet bandwidth.  All students have access to the campus network via network jacks found in all dorm rooms, the library, all classrooms, two PC and three Mac computer labs, and the Student Center. Students also have the opportunity to save money when purchasing a new computer by taking advantage of our Student Purchase Program.

As members of the community use computers and the network at The Governor's Academy, it is the expectation of the Academy that each will do so in ways that are not only lawful and ethical, but are also responsible and courteous. For more details, please read our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
