Our Faculty

Our faculty are mentors, teachers, coaches and dorm parents who are deeply committed to private secondary school education. They provide continuous inspiration and guidance to students. Living and learning with 390 teenagers is not for the faint of heart, but for our faculty members, it's a special calling. They bring an infectious energy and passion to all that they do. Because they know the students so well, our teachers are able to steer students to new opportunities, motivate them to reach goals and help them tap into their potential. 

We have 82 full-time faculty members, including 60 percent with advanced degrees and several with terminal degrees, including the Ph.D., D.O. and J.D.   Six faculty members are graduates of The Governor's Academy.  More than 85 percent of faculty reside on campus and the average tenure at the Academy is 14 years.
