Highlights from "Singin' in the Rain"
Posted 02/23/2012 09:43AM

On February 17 and 18, The Governor's Academy Drama Department put on the Winter Musical, Singin' in the Rain. The performance featured 25 student actors, five students in the pit orchestra, and 14 students in tech theatre.  The leads were played by Myles Badger ’13 (Don Lockwood), Amy Corman ’14 (Lina Lamont), Jenna Nee ’14 (Kathy Selden), and Eddie Holmes ’14 (Cosmo Brown).

Directing the show was: Paul Wann, Chris Drelich (Music Director),Joe Repczynski (Technical Director), Jeff Miller (Pit Band Director), and Bonnie Jean Wilbur (Costume Designer).

Music Director Chris Drelich notes, "The technical highlight of the show was when we actually made it rain on stage!  Luckily, the rain comes right before intermission, where we covered the stage floor with sawdust and had industrial fans to help us dry the stage before the beginning of Act 2!"

Congratulations to all of our students and faculty involved in this great production!
