Senior Ellie Clayman of Beverly Farms, MA and sophomore Kelsey Duryea of Beverly, MA were recently named All-Americans by U.S. Lacrosse. Clayman, a four-year letter winner, will join Northwestern University’s nationally ranked women’s lacrosse team in the fall.  Duryea is a varsity letter winner in field hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse.

Earlier this spring, senior Remington Pope of Boston, MA earned boys high school All-America laurels. Pope will play at Villanova University next year.

In other lacrosse news, former Governor’s teammates Marty Cahill ’06 and Cory Spinale ’06, who were formerly teammates at Malden Catholic, were named to All-America teams in NCAA Division I and II, respectively. Cahill, who played at the University of Delaware, was named a third team All-American and was recently selected ninth in the Major League Lacrosse draft. Spinale was named a first team All-American as a goalie at Merrimack College, which knocked off No. 1 ranked LeMoyne to win the 2010 Northeast-10 title. Both Cahill and Spinale served as team captains.

Nick Clark ’05, a three-year captain at Salve Regina University, was named to the USILA Scholar All-America team. Clark boasts a 3.64 grade point average in finance management. He earned a bachelor’s degree in May of 2009 and will receive his MBA this summer. A three-year captain, Clark was named to the all-conference team three times.
