Summertime - And the Living is Easy

Chapel cover photo

Summer in the Pesky Library is a time for reflection and planning. We're evaluating what worked well and what needs improvement. We recharge our excitement and enthusiasm in the hope that next year will be even better than the last. Major cleaning and repair projects happen now, when students are off campus. New books will be processed and put on the shelves, supplies will be restocked, plans will be made. We wish everyone in the community a safe and happy summer.

A reminder to students that our news and magazine databases are available all summer. Offsite passwords are in Moodle. Many of the books in our catalog are now available electronically - those passwords are also in Moodle. If you need anything, we're just an email away.

April in Byfield

Beautiful weather for Mr. Wann and company

April is beautiful in Byfield. Classes and study groups meet on the lawn in front of the library. Inside the electronic classroom this month, freshmen civics classes learned to research in preparation for writing letters to their elected representatives. Mrs. Gold’s classes shared their visual interpretations of poems. Around the library we celebrated Earth Day, the anniversary of Mark Twain’s death, the McSweeney’s publications, poetry month, and volcanic activity. We purchased dozens of new books and enjoyed the gorgeous weather.
